Wheels keep on spinnin' round..
Horoscopes For Today: 7/18/2006
You still need to get yourself more involved in the rhythms and activities of the people around you -- these folks are looking to you for a new idea or trend, and they have confidence that you'll dream up something major. If you need assistance getting something off the ground, just ask the supportive crowd that surrounds you. They have excellent ideas and are eager to help. You need to realize that the people you've chosen to include in your life are there for a reason.
Looking to me for a trend? I'm so apathetic about trends that I'm not even anti-trend. Don't look to me.
Today I became one of those people who carry their tennis shoes and take the elevator. I felt really stupid but...the coffee table attacked me last night, just jumped right out there totally unprovoked and nearly sliced my little baby toe in two. It hurts. I'm afraid that every step I take I'm going to leave a bloody footprint. Ouch.
Another more or less sleepless fucked up night. I fell asleep on the couch around 7:30 pm right in front of the air conditioner and woke up again around 9:30. At this point it was still well over 100 degrees in my bedroom so I was pretty set on dragging the other alarm clock out to the living room and sleeping on the couch (hey, it's a futon, that's what they are for, right?). Instead of going back to sleep, of course, I stayed up geeking out on some video game until around 1 am, and by that time it was finally a comfortable temperature in my room. I went to sleep and woke up again around 3 am for no good reason. Took a bit to get back to sleep...then up again by 6. If my body keeps this no-REM sleep thing up much longer I'm sure it's gonna kill me.
At work early today for another early morning meeting. Today is Brynna (my boss') last day before her month long quasi-vacation. Usually she goes back to France but this time her sister and nieces are all coming from France to stay with her. This sort of leaves me in charge and last time we had some 'unruly' employees and it sucked alot to have to manage them all. This time I think it will be ok.
Today we are celebrating Kamil's birthday since he has been out on vacation as well. Emma is organizing another of her fabulous mexican meals that I usually can't eat. This time I've brought my own veggie-"meat" and we're doing it build-your-own style so I actually get to eat something. I love that she calls me an Anglo. It's fuckin cute.
Finally completely enrolled in school yesterday. Class starts next week so hopefully I'll be able to get my internet working again at home. No idea what the hell I'll do if I can't -- spend alot of time at the library using theirs I guess. I haven't actually bothered to choose my classes yet since, again, no internet at home. I'm hoping that most of my previous classes are transferable since I've taken nearly everything they are expecting me to take. I've gotten most of the core classes taken care of, I just need the more advanced ones and a few of the generic general ed classes.
Aislin lost another tooth last night. She is starting to look really funny. I miss Lhiannan more than I can explain and its making me miserable. This is the longest she has been gone to her Dad's and it wasn't so bad when he was still in Sacramento but since he is back in San Jose there is no way I can see her on the weekends, etc. I can't imagine how much it will suck when they move to Texas. Thankfully, she comes home in a few weeks. She went deep sea fishing last weekend and not only caught the first fish (leopard shark) but in the end she caught the largest as well. Sounds gross to me, but she was really proud of herself. And apparently she ate the thing so I can't complain too much...
Ok, off to work...
