I'm still alive.

Not that anyone cares.

I don't know if anyone out there knows this but, its fucking hot in Arizona. I've heard all about this 'dry heat' thing before but never understood it. Now I do. All the moisture in your entire body is instantly sucked out the minute you arrive. I've been told some tricks to not dying...for example, half the time I've been here I've had a bloody nose. Apparently, if you put vasoline in your nostrils, it keeps them from bleeding all over the place. I haven't tried lubing my nose yet, and don't think I'm likely to.

There are gigantic cactii growing all over the place. Even purple ones. Ever heard of a purple cactus? Neither had I.

Since we are so close to the border, many of the signs are in spanish and the one freeway here lists distances in km (northbound). It's a trip.

Not much else to say. I'm tired and the heat is taking a severe toll on my poor little body. I feel like I need a nap all the time.

It rained for about 45 seconds early and I went outside and danced on a chair with excitement.

I'm about to walk down to the 'river'. The sign says its a river, but its a bone dry ditch with cactii growing out of the middle of it. Should be fun.

I'll be home tomorrow night.
